I bought myself a Uranium glass ball on EBay as a radioactive source for testing my Geiger counter. Uranium glass isn't really dangerous and was used for its decorative qualities in the 1950's. It has the property of fluorescing bright green when illuminated with UV light.
I have modified this camera to make it sensitive to a wider spectrum of light than just the visible spectrum. In particular, the camera is now sensitive to infrared light.
