Angels

Angels come in all shapes and sizes. Not just the fluttery white beings with wings invented by the Church. Also people, objects and animals can serve an angelic purpose.

I was once extremely angry about a brand new dishwasher which was installed in an expensive new kitchen. It didn’t work and the kitchen company refused to exchange it for another, saying I had to book a repair visit from the manufacturer ! I was livid but it was apparently the only way to sort out the problem.

When the little old man arrived he had a calming air about him. He quickly made me feel at ease and sorted out the problem then left. I turned around to watch him walk down the corridor to the lift but he had already disappeared without a trace.

Had he been sent to calm me down and to teach me a lesson ? It certainly felt so !
