EVP or Electronic Voice Phenomena are accidental reception of spirit voices by electronic equipment. A famous example was the Panasonic RR-DR60 dictation recorder which caused complaints from users that it was recording unwanted sounds and voices which users preferred not to hear. The device was recalled by the manufacturer and an updated version with improved electromagnetic shielding was released.
